This is an invitation-only beta for adults 18 or older. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Your account and study
Your email, display name, account approval, password authentication, and saved study contributions are stored to operate your account. Reflections and saved highlights begin as “Only me.” Choose “Study circle” to share. Private contributions are hidden from other reader accounts; the project owner and hosting providers can administer stored data. Stored study data is not end-to-end encrypted.
From your account menu, you can export or delete your study contributions and change your password. You can ask the owner to suspend access. Please leave sensitive personal information out of requests and reflections.
Reading together
While sharing your position, circle members see your display name, scripture cursor, visible verses, and temporary live scripture selections. Turn position sharing or live highlighting off to read or select privately. Private note drafts never enter live events. Live positions, cursors, highlights, and voice signals remain in temporary memory and are not stored as reading history.
Voice is optional. Joining starts with your microphone off; microphone permission is requested when you turn it on. Audio is encrypted between browsers and travels through a relay to protect direct peer addresses. We do not record, transcribe, or retain audio. Leaving voice or signing out ends audio.
Hosting and email
Cloudflare hosts the site, handles security checks and live connections, and relays audio. Supabase provides account authentication and stores study records. Resend delivers invitations, password resets, and request notifications. These services may retain operational security and delivery records under their own policies. The application does not load advertising analytics or external fonts. Browser storage holds only reading and sound preferences.
Access requests are visible to the owner. Unapproved requests are removed after 30 days. Email delivery jobs are removed after seven days; invitation content is cleared after successful delivery. Active accounts and contributions remain until removed. Browser sessions expire within 12 hours; password changes revoke application sessions. Access suspension ends live connections within 15 seconds, and protected requests check current approval each time.
About the text and artwork
The pilot contains 1 Nephi 1 from a public-domain source, with its own edition identifiers. It does not import notes from the local prototype’s different edition. Illustrations are AI-generated artistic interpretations, not scripture or historical reconstructions.
The beta may be unavailable during maintenance or if free service limits are reached. It is a small concept pilot; keep your own exports of contributions you want to preserve.
